Adapting a flattener M48 x 0.75 thread on a STL camera

    I need to attach my STL 4020 to a newtonian telescope with a flattener, but with the nosepiece of the camera, the train is too long and focusing is impossible. If I remove the nosepiece, I cannot screw the flattener, because it has a M48 x 0.75 thread, and the STL has a larger diameter. What kind of ring or adapter should I use ?

    OK, thanks. Another question: how can I adapt my STT-8300 with filter wheel on a newtonian telescope ? With the nosepiece, focusing is impossible because the distance, with the flattener on the nosepiece, is too long. And it seems that the nosepeice is not removable. Or is it ?

    The 2" nosepiece unscrews. The front of the camera has M42 X 0.75 thread (T-thread).

    There is also a pattern of four threaded holes around the front aperture, 1.6" apart. with 4-40 threads (do not let your screws go more than 0.14" inside the camera or it may jam or damage the shutter).

    When I remove the nosepiece, the front of the camera has M 53mm, and my flattener has M 48. So I need an adpater.

    I have ordered a M54 x 0.75 to T2 - T2 Focal Adapter for M 54 x0.75 from Teleskop-Service. I hope it will be the right one !
