Looking at the FITS file of an image taken with a camera with a 12 bit ADC (a ZWO ASI1600MM) it looks like the 12 bit values are multiplied by 4. If this is correct, is the multiplication typically done by MaxIm (say after reading the ASCOM MaxADU property), is it done by the camera or can it be done by either? If it's done by MaxIm is there any way to turn this off, or at least add a keyword indicating that a multiplication was used?

We're not doing it. MaxIm DL just passes through the numbers we get from the camera driver.
