I am conducting a star survey in search of exoplanets and variable stars. I am looking for photometry software that can auto select all stars in an image and then do photometry for each star for a series of images. The resultant light curve data for each star will be then saved to a file for further analysis. Selecting reference stars and the ability to report each star's light curve data by RA and DEC is a plus (via astrometry). Can MaxIm DL 6 do this? AIP4WIN has a tool that does this (info below) but I am looking for a more robust software package. There may be 5000 stars in one image with 1000 images in a sequence to analyze. Any guidance greatly appreciated. thanks Paul AIP4WIN2 Magnitude Extraction Tool (MXT) for stellar photometry. Opens, calibrates, and runs photometry automatically. Extracts magnitude data for every star for any number of images. Optimized for variable star and exoplanet searches.
