A quick question. I've had my STF-8300 for 2-3 years now and have not baked the Desiccant Plug yet. I also
haven't had or seen any frost issues, even though the camera is outside full-time in an observatory.

Am I tempting fate if I remove the Desiccant Plug and bake it now or should I wait until I see frost on my images. My Dad used to say, "If it works, don't fix it". I'd hate to induce an issue but I'm heading to Okie-Tex and if there's a time when I'd get frost it'd be at a week long star party.

    Thanks,
    Larry

Larry, that's quite a conundrum. If you have a couple days to do it and test that you got it right, then go ahead.

In my case, unless I give myself a week or two in advance of travel, I NEVER change anything, because something will go wrong or I will forget something haha.

    Personally, I would bake it.
