    Hi

I ordered an STT 8300M with the FW8G-STT a while back and finally have had the time to get it out the box and set up. It's currently paired with a Celestron 8SE on a Celestron AVX mount (not ideal I realise but I am stuck with this OTA for the moment). I have no issue getting focus on the imaging CCD but the Guiding CCD won't get close to focus even with the focus knob all the way in (so that the guiding CCD is as close in to the mirror as it will allow). Stars are still fuzzy donuts. Looking at the FW8G focus mechanism it looks like there is scope to bring it it about another 4mm closer which might just be enough to get it to focus but no way to adjust it as far as I can see.

Is there any option or solution that might assist?

    Thanks!

    Al

Try moving the mirror in closer. That will make some room for the focus to move in.

You mean the mirror in the FW8G right?
