New filter wheel, focus "stars" look like donut cut in half, even though imaging camera shows tack-sharp stars.

The device has been adjusted per the instructions that come with it.

Imaging train is 12" Meade SCT native f/8 > Optec Lepus 0.62 reducer > AO8T, filter wheel, STT1603ME.

Focus wheel on filter wheel gives me about two turns, but no change in donut (star).

Photos attached of an image from the guiding camera, and the imaging train.

The orange straps are much looser than they appear, they are my insurance policy to keep everything together in the event a captive screw comes loose.

    Thanks,

It turns a lot more than two turns.

    Did you release the lock?

Yes, but the lock wasn't the problem. Talked to Tim Puckett, he said I could crack it open and it wouldn't affect the warranty.

Turns out that the allen bolt that serves as the pivot for the guider shutter was not screwed in. I screwed it in fairly tight, backed it about a bit and *presto* I now have full travel on the focuser block (about 10 turns).

    Some photos are attached.

    Thanks,

    John

Must have worked loose during shipping. I'll take that up with production.

Thanks for the feedback and glad you got it working.
