I’m trying to troubleshoot a problem I’m having with autoguiding after the meridian flip using CCDAP (works fine with Maxim DL alone) and have a question about the guide sensor orientation with respect to the main STXL11002 sensor. As with earlier SBIG self-guided cameras, is the guider image oriented the same as the main sensor image despite the intervening pick-off mirror and reducer lens? Please advise. Thanks, Tom
Pretty sure nothing has changed, but you can easily check this yourself: Just take an image with each sensor, and do a PinPoint plate solve on each. The solution shows the position angle of the image. Compare the two.
