    We've also seen issues with power supplies (and extension cables) that are rated for enough current, but have thin gauge wires and there's too much voltage drop by the time it gets to the camera.

    Hi Bob,

    I really wasn't sure what you intended by your earlier response, and do appreciate your involvement. I've learned a tremendous amount through this forum, as getting all programs and equipment operating properly and communicating with each other has been a rather steep learning curve. Running all the equipment on DC power has simplified operation and made the wiring so much more under control. Thanks for taking the time to share your expertise.

    Hi Doug,

    I just ordered the 12vDC SBIG extension cable for the STT-8300 camera, and will use that for 12v to preclude further issues.
