   Have you been able to isolate a single 65535 pixel? If the run really is starting and stopping at 65535, then nothing shows up if the saturated pixels are in pairs. It's only when they are separated enough to allow the run to be visible.
   
   And by the way, the problem has now started creeping into all of my 1x1 binned images, regardless of the filter.

   Okay I tried 2x2 and 3x3 binning. The sensor was completely oversaturated, and yet I still had no background artifacts.
   
   This problem appears to affect only your camera. It's going to have to come back to Ottawa; Bill doesn't have the facilities to test for this. Tim Beese will set you up with an RMA for the camera.
