Can control of my Nikon 810a take a series of autosave images without downloading to the PC? - leaving the images just on the memory card in the camera?

I want to take many images of the eclipse, maximizing the number if images by storing them in the camera?

Well, I found that a program called BackyardNikon will allow scripting images with controlled exposure settings and allow leaving the images in the camera. I don't know why both Maxim and ImagesPlus can't do that with Nikons (IP does do it with Canons). So I guess I won't be using Maxim for this eclipse.

    Hi Don,

Can't you select the camera memory card in Camera Control->Expose-> Options->Set Image Save Path... (see attached screenshot)?

    Hi Jesse,

Thanks for the suggestion. I had noit thought about doing that. So I tried it with both my Canon 60Da and the Nikon 810A. Both show the oath to the camera card, but in both cases the dialog to connect "OK" is greyed out. So this won't work.
