Hello, My camera ST-8300C is not working properly. It began to be reported in the system as the ST-402. It is not a question of drivers. It was working properly and suddenly stopped without any changes in the system and drivers. I checked camera on 3 different computers and everywhere is the same. I also have ST-8300M, which on the same machine is working properly. I have message from Bill Lynch, that It seems to have gotten its EEprom information corrupted and I probably can restore it in CCDOps. Please tell me How?
I have a document at work that will tell you how to get the Advanced menu in CCDOps with which you should be able to restore your camera information. It totally slipped my mind when I wrote to you this morning. If Jan doesn't get to you before I get back to work tomorrow, I'll send it to you. Sorry for not remembering it this morning. -Bill
Hello, I have done according to the instructions contained in the forum. My question is. when I used the Default Values for CCD Gain / Offset, I got offset 20. Previously, I had a 160. Is it ok? If I want to use the option to set the offset I have error.
I just checked the ST-8300C and my shows offset number 154. I can also confirm, that the default value is set to 20. I followed the same test which calculates the offset number, but got the same error you have mentioned above. Then, I did the same tests with the STF-8300 and all passed all right. So, we have to check why this offset calculation is not permitted for this type of camera. There may be some bug either inside the CCDOPS and/or driver, so please wait until this is fixed. Jan
OK, Thanks Jan, I'm waiting for Information on removing bug or instructions for shortcuts, how I set properly offset
This is a document that I got, but the current version CCDOPS contains an error when setting the offset (see posts above)
