    Hi,
The "SBIG Users Guide: CCDOps Version 5" recommends default multipliers for ST-7/8/9/10, and others. (See p. 66)
There is no mention of the STF-8300.

When I connect my STF-8300M the default multipliers displayed in the CCDOps "Color Grap Setup" dialog are 1 for green and 1 for blue. Is this correct for STF-8300

Also, in Table 1 (p. 35) the suggested sky background brightness levels are listed for camera families ST-237A, etc. There is no mention of the STF-8300.

Is there a suggested Sky Background Bright Level for the STF-8300?

    Thanks and clear skies.

We recommend that color balance be made by measurement. This will take account of the exact spectral response of your camera, filters, and other optical equipment.

A good procedure is described in the MaxIm DL help; this sort of measurement can also be done in CCDOPS.
