Is the red power light on the back of the STF 8300C supposed to stay on while the camera is powered? I've noticed that after a while it goes out. Also, if taking a series of images it goes on and off. Just need to know if this is normal. Hank
Yes that is normal. It's a status light not a power light. According to the User Manual: http://diffractionlimited.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/stf-8300_manual_12.pdf The LED turns on after the camera's power-up sequence completed. The LED blinks during an exposure.
I got the 11" RASA from Celestron and put the STF8300c Camara in front. Could I turn off the LED blinking during an exposure? Peter
