Recently purchased ST-i-c, with supplied USB 15ft cable.

Installed drivers & updated as per instructions using SBIG 64 bit Driver Checker.
    Installed CCDOps5.
Plugged in ST-i-c via computer USB port. Green light illuminated. Windows (7) says "installing new hardware" then correctly identifies as SBIG USB-64 Camera with Firmware.

Then, all attempts to connect to camera fail:
Using CCDOps, "Establish COM Link" results in: "No camera could be found.." message.
Using SBIG 64 Bit Driver Checker, Firmware tab, "get Firmware version from Camera" results in: "Error: Could not establish a link to the Camera.."

Note that I can hear the shutter click once on each attempt to connect.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Update: It was the mini USB cable supplied with the camera. Changing to a 6ft cable solved the problem.

Glad you got it working. Probably a voltage drop issue - the ST-I takes almost the maximum current from the USB interface.
