   I have an SBIG STXL 11002 camera. When under camera control from MaxIm DL 6.17 the shutter for my guide chip does not open. The average pixel value when looking at the night sky is 317. A photo is attached. Photos from the main image chip are normal.

   As a first step, try re-seating the connector at both ends between the guide camera and the main camera.
