    Hello,
I have a problem with cooling -SBIG 16803. Everything worked correctly today. After some time, the whole system (Windows 7 64bit) hung - blue screen.
The system restarted correctly beyond the temperature regulation.
I made all possible driver and frameware updates.
    Did not help.
Effect: the fan reacts correctly (from hearing). You can turn it on and change the speed, but it does not cool the chipset.
Question: if the cooling may have been suspended, you can somehow restore it or in your opinion it is something more serious that requires repair or replacement of parts. Have any of you already had this problem?

Thank you in advance for all information

Check your power supply voltage. As the voltage drops lower the camera has to draw more current to maintain the same power level. If the voltage too low then the current will be too high, and the camera will shut down the cooler to protect itself.

There are indicator LEDs on the side of the camera for the voltage. Note that once the cooler shuts down the voltage will pop back up again, so you should watch it as you turn on the cooler.

Thank you Doug, I will try to measure tensions tomorrow.
Can I use the laboratory power supply for testing?
    For example, something like that?

Sure. Just set the output to 13V before you plug in the camera. (Our newer supplies deliver 13V instead of 12V to compensate for voltage drop in the cables.)

Doug, can you give me the schematic of the power supply and plugs. It seems to me that one line of 12 volt does not work properly. And without a power supply schematic, it's hard to say something.

    Doug, I've seen it thanks.
    Unfortunately, something does not agree.
I opened this plug and pins 3 and 6 are not connected to anything ??? On pins 4 and 5 I have 12 volts, but on pins 1 and 2 I have strange values.
For correct measurements it needs a power supply scheme.
It will definitely be useful to other people !!!

Okay it looks like that style of cable uses four wires. With the flat side facing down, +12V is on the right two pins, and GND is on the left two pins. At the camera end 3 and 6 are not connected.
