    Hi gui,

i have a problem with my old st-8300 shutter.
Sometime with low temperature (0 deg or less ) the shutter don't go in correct position and remain in middle way between open and close during poses. I need to off and on the camera for solve the problem. The camera was used in past only for few shot and i can exclude deterioration of mechanical parts.

I had this problem with my ST8300 and fixed it by adjusting the hardware around the shutter. It was binding. The tolerances are tight but adjustment can be easily done. The procedure is about the same as replacing the desiccant in the 8300.

    Hi Steve,
i solved the problem dismounting and mounting again the front cover of the camera. I think that the shutter screw touch on the cover. As you can see the cover is milled over the screw but as you explain the tollerance is very tight and a little error on assembly can cause the interference.
After this intervention i realize about hundred shot without problems.
Apart this little problem i'm very satisfied for this camera.
