I have had ST-i mono as a guide camera for a couple of months (purchased from Baader Planetarium). I’m now getting images as the attached shot. I changed out the USB cable with similar results. There isn’t any difference whether the camera is connected directly to the computer or through the USB hub. I have the latest drivers. I also tried to change the motor phase as described here, but with Phase 1 I only get a dark frame (probably the shutter isn’t moving). Phase 0 seems to be the right one. Is there anything else I should test before contacting Baader Planetarium? I'm afraid that looks like some kind of hardware problem; perhaps something wrong with the internal power supply.
