I'm not sure what you mean by "classic" or "pro". Do you mean ST versus STF? Your camera was manufactured in July 2011. It is an ST-8300M. The first STF units were built in December of that year.
Hi Doug I need to update my driver, a recent Windows 10 update has caused a driver error: Receive time out error code 1008(Ox3fO). The options in the 64 checker ask Classic or pro?

Oh now I see. This is buried under Config Drv / Select ST Model. The selector is used to indicate whether the camera has a remote guide head connector on it or not. This isn't relevant to the ST-8300 camera. It's for the long-obsolete ST-7 series (including ST-8, ST-9, ST-10, ST-2000, ST-4000). There is no guide head option on the ST-8300. It doesn't matter what that is set to. Yes the cameras are named confusingly. The ST-402 and derivative cameras are NOT the same as the ST-7 series cameras. I don't know why they did that!
Hi Doug I still have problems, have downloaded the latest driver checker followed the instructions and restarted.. My camera is now not connecting it is showing ST400 no firmware. CCDsoft does not even see the camera
