STF8300C - unknown USB device

    I have a working setup with my STF8300C and STF8300M, recently STF8300C stops working with unknown USB device ("device descriptor request failed"). When I power it up, I can hear fan and clicking sound.
    Is it pointing to a hardware issue? Is there anyway I can find it out? I am using win8.1.

    It could be corrupted EEprom. Have you attempted to update the firmware lately? My guess would be hardware if your monochrome is still working.
