    I bought a used STL-11000m/AO-L a couple months ago and the shutter motor seems to be weak? Operating in the minus temps (C) the shutter will occasionally not open all the way during an exposure, the shadow it creates is obvious. Now that it has warmed up at night, that problem seems to be gone but using theskyx taking a series of images, when one finishes and the new image is started sometimes I'll get a message "waiting on shutter", this could easily be for 5 or more seconds. Could this be an issue with the motor?

    It's possible although the motor is a pretty low failure item. It could be that the shutter is out of alignment, although I wouldn't think temperature would play a role in that. Send me an email, bill@sbig.com, and we can talk about it.
