First night with camera. 1. When I click Take Photo, I get an immediate: "SBIG driver: Transmission timeout. Error = 30007" This happens a split second after I click the button. This is my initial attempt. Perhaps I am doing something wrong. 2. I get the same result if I try to move to another filter in the filter wheel. 3. When I try to control the camera with CCDOps Lite (versus The Sky), I get "Camera Error: Shutter Failure" Please help. Thank you. Walter
The error message indicates USB timeout, which indicates poor transmission reliability on the USB interface. Please try: 1. If you are using a USB hub, please try it without the hub. 2. Please try a different USB port on your PC (If you are using a desktop, avoid using the ports on the front as they are compromised by the internal wiring. They're fine for a memory stick but not for a camera with a long cable.) 3. Try a different USB cable 4. If all the above fails then check if it works on a different PC.
I reinstalled the software and now The Sky recognizes the camera. However, I get Shutter Error = 30017. This occurs both on the main camera and autoguider. Anything I can do? Walter
