I've attached a file showing strange dark streaks on a recent image of Merope taken with an STX 16803. I can't recall seeing such things before, but maybe I hadn't looked hard enough. Does anyone have a hint of an explanation? Peter
Most likely cause is poor DC restoration of the CCD output signal. This sort of thing can also be caused by bad clock voltages, usually a result of a power supply failure. If it's DC restoration, we have a simple mod for older cameras that improves it significantly. If it's anything else it would need service. Contact bill@sbig.com for further assistance.
