I had a problem with my STXL 11002 which produced strange dark frames, where pixel values varied from 18000 to 22000 independent of exposure duration or any other influences as temperature or external light sources. I updated the driver, which had no influence on the problem. During firmware update the process froze and since then any attempt to establish a link to the camera fails, through USB and ethernet as well.

Any idea what I can do?

    Best regards

When the camera is plugged in and powered on, is the camera detected in the Windows "Device Manager"?

Is the camera detected by Windows if you try another computer?

Yes, in the device manager it is correctly found: SBIG USB Camera With Firmware, driver version 2.41.0.2. But no link possible neither with CCDOPS nor MaxIm DL, nor TheSkyX on OS X.

Sounds bricked. It's going to have to come in to be unbricked.

I am lucky, Tim fixed it by remote access to my camera and installed a new firmware.
