The ST-6300 is advertised to cool the chip as much as 65C below ambient temperature. During Summer, when it was 40C at dusk in my backyard, it did indeed cool the chip to -25C with some effort. Now that it's 10C at dusk, I can't get the chip temperature to go below -35C. This appears to be by design, but I haven't found this in the manual, or by searching the Web.

Does this model camera have a minimum temperature of -35C. Thanks.

Yes, for a variety of reasons it is limited to -35C.

Thanks, Doug. I kind of thought that was the case. I'm pleased enough with the performance at -35C.

    Doug,
My camera is the STXL-6303E. I'm not clear if this is the model Tom has. Be that as it may, is my camera limited to -35C?
