We are using shear plates, and viewing the fringes with a camera. This is to set collimation. Would the QuickFringe software help us in doing this? What are the benefits?
If you want to send us an interferogram, we can generate a QF report and send it back to you. That will give you an idea of what it can do.
We don't have it set up yet but basically we are using a Spirocon usb camera to capture images off a glass plate (shearplate). If the camera can pick up enough intensity, can the Quickfringe software, do anything with that captured fringe image? It would be a BMP file. Or better yet can it run live off the camera output?
Quick Fringe can grab live frames off the camera input. It should be able to provide useful measurements.
