Will STi work on older G11?

    Will the STi guider work as is on a older Losmandy G11 (from 1994) with the 492 digital drive?

    Hi Chris. I have been struggling without success to get my ST-I to work with my Astro-Physics 8900 mount (Circa 1992). Part of the problem is that the Relay Adapter Box requires a 12V input to work and the ST-I does not have a 12V output.

    I have experimented with a lot of ways to get the 12V, the latest being to use an external 12V, 1000 mA power supply (I got one from McMaster-Carr for about $13.00). This has not worked so far. I am now looking at the common input pin from the ST-I. I am supposed to be getting help from Tim on this problem, but I have not heard back from him on the latest unsuccessful attempt.

    If I find a solution I will let you know.

    Good luck finding a Relay Adapter Box. Oceanside Photo & Telescope has them, but I may have gotten the last one.
