I suspect my USB cable (A to B) that connects my 8300 to my computer has given up the ghost. Will any store bought cable work? Or do I need one specific to the camera from D/L?
Is there a site I can purchase from?

You can use any QUALITY cable, provided it meets USB2.0 specifications.
Note that some USB cables have thicker wires (lower number wire gauge AWG) = better.
Also, keep the length under the 15 foot limit. The shorter, the better.
They are available from any decent office supply or computer store.

    Than
    Thank you.
I was out a few weeks ago and when I did a frame and focus, my screen looked like a bar code. I replaced the USB cable with a 15' that I purchased. Then tried it yesterday inside. The screen shot had lots of noise and a bar x the top. I replaced the cable with a 10' and now have a totally black screen with no bars/noise. I hope the camera is not shot? I would be disappointed as I have had it for only 2 years with less than 60 hrs. on it. Is it possible the power supply has gone bad? Next question, where would I purchase one if needed?
At night when finished imaging I always warm the TEC back up, then it goes into a watertight container. Then back into the house where I allow the air to stabilize by cracking the lid until morning, then I close it up.
It is supposed to be clear this evening, we shall see.
    Thanks
    Bill

Bill, the best thing is to provide us with some sample images, the exact model of camera (eg SBIG STF-8300 or STT-8300 or what), the camera serial number, and what software you are using.
Did you buy it new, or used ?
For images, we specifically want a bias, dark, and then a sky image, in FITS format. Don't give us JPGs, they won't be useful.
Use CCDops or MaxIm DL to take the images.
Use the Upload a File button to the lower right to attach them.
If they are too large, you'll need to use dropbox or something like that.

    Colin,
I set the camera up in my workroom. Only took one 180" dark and one 0.01 bias. The noise shows up on the bias. Any bias frames taken usually have no visible noise. Here are the two Dark/bias frames. Will try tonight for light frame if you think I should, or can you see the issue now. If I take light this eve. will redo dark/bias.

8300m was purchased from OPT (?) in 2017 new. Serial # is 83f011738. I also purchased a cfw5 then traded for a cwf8 with them.

No need for any additional FITS images. This looks like a hardware failure.
I'm going to ask our hardware expert @Bill to have a look and comment.
I suspect it will have to go to Bill for repair.

That definitely doesn't look good. Send me an email, bill@sbig.com, and I will give you the details for sending it in.
