I've got an STF8300 M and the FW5. The SC2 will connect, via 3 of the longer screws, to the FW 5, but then there is no way to connect the AO-8 without putting it at about a 45 degree angle to the SC2 to match the screw holes. Probably not optimal. Not sure the AO-8 will work effectively in a 45 degree from vertical (nearly upside down) position. Is there any way to make this work without spending nearly 1K on a new filter wheel?
You can attach the AO-8A with just 3 screws. The FW5 and many of the FW8-8300 filter wheels have their mounting screws offset 45 degrees from most of the other SBIG cameras. We could machine the plate on the FW5, but it probably isn't worth doing. This is why the SC-2 has 7 holes; to deal with these older FW. We think it should be rigid enough.
