Hi, after some time without having used it, I tried to reactivate my old ST-10XME USB on my Windows 10 computer (all updates installed). I installed, through DriverChecker64, all recent drivers (including sbigudrv.dll 5.1.1.0), and even installed Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. The camera gets detected by the operating system (as I can see in the device manager) properly as "SBIG USB Camera with Firmware". The fan starts, the red light is on. So far, so good. But here's the strange part: When I connect it to Maxim DL (6.26) (or even using the SBIG ASCOM driver), it shows up as a ST-7! Accordingly, the images will be downloaded not with the full resolution, but just the size of the ST-7 sensor. Then again, I cannot access the second sensor. It seems that only the TC-237 sensor is accessible, while the larger KAF-3200 is not detected. What can I do? Many thanks, Arndt
Most likely the camera's EEPROM has lost its marbles. It probably can be reset via remote login. Please post your serial number, and I'll ask @Tim to help you out.
Have you tried one of the other SBIG drivers? Instead of "SBIG USB Camera with Firmware", try updating your driver in the Device Manager to ""SBIG64 USB Camera with Firmware". In the Device Manager, right-click on the SBIG camera driver and select "Update Driver". Then select "Browse my computer for drivers" -> "Let me pick from an available list on my computer". Then UNCHECK "Show Compatible Hardware", and choose "SBIG USB-64 with camera firmware", and click "Next", then click "Yes".
Tim, thanks for your response. Yes, I tried exactly that procedure (in fact, I tried almost all possible combinations). Even tried the "Pro" as well as the "Classic" drivers - with no positive result. The dialog then shows the "SBIG USB-64 Camera With Firmware" to be installed, but right afterwards, the Device Manager just confirms the "SBIG USB Camera With Firmware" being installed. And Maxim keeps showing "ST-7" in the "connect to" dialog, while CCDOPS also keeps telling me about my ST-7... Arndt
