My name is Paolo from Florence (Italy), and I own an Sbig STT3200ME camera.
I am writing because I am experiencing problems with my STT3200ME. Here is a brief summary of the situation:
The CCD worked perfectly until May 2024, after which it was disassembled and stored in a box until the day before yesterday.
I connected it to a PC running Windows 10, downloaded the drivers, and powered on the CCD using MaximDL5 (no optics lens attached) .
However, the CCD shows anomalies both on the image frames and the dark frames (please see the attachments).
Specifically, it displays areas that are either too bright or too dark with levels that do not match the expected signal levels illuminating the sensor. The dark images were taken in a dark room.
I also tried connecting the CCD to another laptop, but the result was the same.
Additionally, I replaced the USB cable, attempted to connect via LAN, and even swapped the power supply with one from an Sbig ST1603.
Unfortunately, none of these attempts resolved the issue.

I kindly ask if you have any idea what the problem might be and if you could help me resolve it.

    Is the shutter working correctly?

I don't think the Readout Mode is supposed to be disabled. Perhaps it is not enumerating the cameras modes correctly.

What version of MaxIm DL are you using?

Are the SBIG drivers up to date? Is the camera firmware up to date? You can check these in the SBIGDriverChecker64 program.

Does it exhibit the same issues when you take exposures in CCDOps?

Are you able to provide a FIT full frame dark image AND a bias FIT image to examine?:

    Exp: 1 second, and a 0.1 second
    Sub-frame: off
    Bin: 1x1

    Hi,
    thanks for the reply.

    The shutter works normally.

The tests were done on Maxim DL5.

The drivers are updated and so is the CCD firmware.

I haven't tried using CCDPps; I'll give it a try tomorrow.

Question: is the little white button on the electronic board, by chance, a reset button that returns the CCD to the factory parameters?

No, it is not. It reboots the camera.

    Hi,

I tried to take some shots always on the bench with CCDOps
    but the problem persists.

I attach an image of bias.

I am not able to analyze screenshots, or jpeg images.

Can you please provide a full-frame FITS image with 1x1 binning?
