    Hi all,

    I'm just after a bit of guidance. I recently purchased a 2nd hand st2000xm.

Finally got a clear night to give it a go and noticed a fair amount of frosting up. I know this model has a desiccant cartridge that needs to be baked from time to time. It also has a dummy plug to replace the actual plug while baking.

Question is this camera only came with one plug and I don't know if it's the dummy or the actual desiccant.

Does anyone here know how I could tell which one I have.

    Cheers.

The dummy plug has a solid end, the desiccant plug has a screen over the end (the end that screws into the camera).
