Hi, I bought an STXL 11002 with FW8 G in 2014, i used it until 2016 and then i stopped using this cam. Now i m gonna reuse it , the question is: Do i need before reuse it to Regenerate the desiccant plug? OR do i try using it without doing this and let see what happen? (i don t want to damage the sensor with ice, water....) in other word, when i need to regenerate the desiccant plug? is there a periodicity like changing motoroil in a car ? or may i don t care with this ? If i need to regerate before turn on the cam, may you send me a procedure to do this safely? thanks boris
I would recommend recharging it, just to be on the safe side. A small amount of frost probably won't hurt anything, but a larger amount could cause problems. The procedure is in the manual, page 13.
