   On an alt-az the angle will be constantly changing. So yes you have to recalibrate the drive all the time.
   
   The AO tip/tilt system doesn't need recalibrating. It's a once-and-done affair. Just the mount "bumping" (Drive tab) needs to be recalibrated.
