    Hi,

    To connect my SkyWatcher 120mm Esprit Field Flattener to my FW8-8300 filter wheel I use an
    adapter ring made by PreciseParts that makes a custom M62 to SBIG ST-8300 FW5/8-8300 filter wheel (thread) L = 36.6mm
    (thats with the FW8-8300 adaptor plate on)

    If I add the new SC-2, with the supplied 2.156" adaptor plate, how do I specify the threading on that plate?

    The SC-2 adds .8" of backfocus, so the new PrecisePart adaptor would be 36.6mm - 20.32mm = 16.28mm (Correct?)

    Pierre,
    The SBIG StarChaser SC-2 has the same holes on it as the OAG-8300.
    Remove the existing plate on the filter wheel.
    Bolt the plate to the SC-2 then filter wheel.

    Get a shorter adapter. It is 20.32 mm thick / 0.8 inches.

    Thanks for the quick reply;

    I was just wondering what the threading was for the supplied adaptor plate. The 2.156" one.

    From your user's manual:
    "For the SC-2 we recommend using the supplied 2.156" adapter plate
    and the included nosepiece since the larger aperture reduces the chance
    of vignetting the guide camera.
    You can optionally use your original T-thread adapter plate instead."

    I just don't know the threading and diameter of the supplied 2.156" adaptor plate.

    Thanks!
