I noticed that the web site for the STXL 16200 says that its sensor is obsolete and you're not restocking it. Does this mean the 16200 is obsolete or will you continue the 16200 with an updated sensor? Thanks!
Yes, unfortunately all of the original Kodak sensors are obsolete. ON Semi decided to close the wafer fab. We have acquired a supply of the most popular sensors, such as the 16803. However we did not stock up on the 16200. We do have one left. If you want it, better grab it! First come, first served. Meanwhile we do have a series of CMOS cameras launching. The first two - for which we already have working prototypes - are on the web site. If you would like to discuss options for sensors going forward, we may be able to help.
Thanks Doug. OPT had an "open box" Class 1 STXL-16200 at a good price so I picked it up. I hope that you'll continue to be able to service these with spare parts, etc.
