    Hello
Recently acquired a STF8300c. I normally image with an STL1100m + filters (all AD so all have IR coating).
Do I need IR cutoff for this OSC camera on a TEC 140 refractor or is the cd cover window IR rejection? I seem to recall IR cutoff is needed for refractors and lenses?

    Thanks,
    Keith

The STF-8300C has an IR rejection filter on the camber housing.
Its' needed for color CCD's, SBIG Mono CCD's do not have and IR rejection window on the chamber housing.
The filters for your color wheel have IR rejection when doing color imaging.
Call me if I can give you more detailed responses.
A call is always much better than an email.

    Regards
    Tim

Does this include the ST-8300c also?

More to the point, would I use an Astrodon CLS or CLS CCD filter to help with light pollution using the SBIG ST-8300c?

    Thanks,
    Michael
