When I tried to connect to my STC -428 P yesterday I got the above error message instead of the camera name and properties. I had used the camera successfully several times before this happened. What can be done to fix this?
Check that the camera is showing up in the Windows Device Manager, without any error symbols, eg a little yellow /!\ triangle beside it. It should look like this: and if you check the properties, it should look something like this: If it doesn't then check the USB cable, port, driver error message, and power. If it does show up, then tell us what changed recently? Did you update the drivers/firmware/MaxIm version? Did you install any Windows Updates? Did you add/remove/change any hardware, hubs, cables, power stuff? If you can't get it sorted, then we could do a Teamviewer/Anydesk remote session to log into your PC.
It shows up in the Device manager without error and the properties are correct. I've made no hardware changes, but I did use an EGO power station for the AC to the camera once and wonder if a power surge when the power station was started could have damaged the camera
I also re-installed the firmware but that was after the error message appeared and it did not solve the problem. When could a Teamviewer session be scheduled?

Resolution was to ensure all software was current as a set. MaxIm LT 6.27 OR MaxIm DL Pro 6.27 DL Imaging 2.0.2.0 DL Imaging ASCOM Drivers 6.4.7.0 Additional note: Using TheSky X with the STC-428-P, use ASCOM, and for the ASCOM driver for DL Imaging, make sure to set the last Filter to !SHUTTER! in TSX, so it uses the dark position as a shutter for taking dark frames.
