16803 frosting up no matter what I do

    Temperature has generally been in mid 60s and right on top of the dew point. Humidity has been high, 85%.

    How can I tell if the heater is on when outside? Is there an indicator light on the camera or some way to get it to report back the window heater status?

    The purpose of the heater is not to heat the "black frame" (aka top of the chamber).

    It creates a small pocket of warm air in the front of the camera, which should prevent it from hitting the dew point.

    There is no indicator - if you turn it on via software, it is on. You can change applications after turning it on, and it will stay on. But if you power down the camera it will switch off.
