I recently acquired a new laptop with Windows 11 Pro installed and followed the same ASCOM installation procedure as I used on my old laptop with Windows 10 Pro. However, the SBIG driver does not appear in the device manager list.

Can this be fixed by any means other than uninstalling Windows 11 and replacing it with Windows 10?

Make sure you install the ASCOM Platform 6.5 SP1.
Then you should be able to install DL Imaging, MaxIm DL Pro, and ASCOM drivers.

Making sure the SBIG camera is showing up in the Device Manager. It may be listed under USB devices.
If it doesn't show up, then run Windows Update.
    Look for Optional Updates.
    Drivers.
Then there may be a listed FTDIChip or SBIG device.
Select that, and complete the installation.

Happy New Year and good luck.

I also *strongly* recommend you run Windows update a few times, reboot each time, as there have been a number of fixes for Windows 11.
Also, if this is new hardware, check the manufacturer's website for BIOS, firmware, and driver updates.
