I am considering since this filter wheel is superior to other makes purchasing it. Are these only able to mount an SBig camera? or are there adapters offer to mate with cameras for example with a M42x0.75 thread? Thank you
It is designed for use with SBIG cameras. If you wish to use it with a third-party camera, you will need two things: (a) The SBIG USB to FW adapter to provide power and control to the filter wheel, as shown here: https://diffractionlimited.com/product/usb-fw/ (b) There are too many possible adapter options to provide all possible mating adapters; I understand you are actually looking for a C-mount; Most people will have it made by: PreciseParts.com You'll need a mechanical adapter between the SBIG standard 4-bolt hole pattern for 2-inch hardware, and whatever camera mount you end up with.
