We have a dual filter wheel setup with 2 AFW-10s, using the SBIG USB to Filter Wheel adapter and the ASCOM driver cannot connect. When trying to connect to the filter wheel in MaximDL, Sky64, or ASCOM Diagnostics the program hangs and crashes. It seems like the secondary wheel is reporting the wrong Model # and thinks it has 0 slots.
In the log file from ASCOM it hangs forever as soon as it is requested to move the wheel.
Notice the "Model=FF" and "Slots=0" for the secondary wheel.

Any help with this would be appreciated!

Is this an assembly that has been running for a while, or was just set up?

Are the address switches set correctly?

Does the wheel work alone (not in dual configuration)?

One additional thought - there was a software update for the SBIG to USB filter wheel adapter.
The most recent version from March 2024 is version 1.2.3.0.
Let us know if you need a copy.

-This has been running for a while and had worked in the past, but just recently is facing these issues.
-The address switches are set correctly.
-We have not tried running the wheel alone.
-We are using the 1.2.3 version of the driver.

Are both wheels turning to the home position on powering up the USB-to-FW adapter's AC wall power pack?
If not, perhaps the second wheel has developed a fault.

If they both home properly, I'm wondering if the Y cable that goes to both wheels has tugged out of the second wheel.

I realize this is a pain - the other option would be to power it all off, open both wheels, and swap their addresses by changing the address switches (0/1 or 1/2 depending how they are labelled) eg make the first wheel the second address, and the second wheel the first address.
Then see if the behaviour changes.
e.g. the log file you sent says:
14:57:24.876 USB::Response Found Dual Filter Wheel
    14:57:24.999 Connected Set Found Primary Wheel: Model=8E, HasStatusExt=False, Slots=10
    14:57:24.999 Connected Set Found Secondary Wheel: Model=FF, HasStatusExt=False, Slots=0

The slots=0 and model=FF are telling us there is a communication problem or fault with the second wheel.
