Star Chaser SC4 Future Enhancements

    I was wondering if it is possible to set up the Star Chaser guider so that the power and communications can be supplied from the main camera. In my case, this would be the AC455. The current design requires a separate power supply and USB cable.

    I am thinking about something like the FW8G concept where there the FW8G cables plugged into ports on the main (e.g. STXL) camera. This is a lot simpler arrangement.

    The AUX port on the AC455 is normally used to run the filter wheel. You could make a Y-cable that splits out 12V and ground, and feed that to the StarChaser power connector.
