We ordered a replacement power cord for our STF-8300 (old one seems to have walked off), but we're confused by the kit. The extension cable doesn't seem to fit into the power supply. It certainly fits the connection on the camera, though. I'm hoping I'm nuts and am just missing something obvious. The end of the power supply cord has five pins. One side of the extension cable fits neatly into the power connection on the camera and screws in as I remember the old one doing. The other side of the extension cable, however, doesn't seem to fit the power supply cord with the pins. Here are pictures of the ends and the camera.
That doesn't look right. I'm not sure what went wrong but I've kicked off an investigation. You should hear back early next week.
This does not look like the correct power brick. This looks like a power brick connector for an Aluma, or a cloud sensor. You said you purchase a replacement "power cable". Do you mean the power brick, or the extension cable, or both? Do you have a different power brick by chance, or is this what was sent to you?
Both of these items were in the box. Our original one was gone! I can go upstairs shortly and take a picture of the box itself, too, if that would help. Here's the link to what we ordered: Camera AC Power Supplies - Astronomy & Scientific Imaging Solutions You had to choose the correct camera, so I figured that might be the issue, but our order confirmation does say STF! I attached screen shots of the order page, the order confirmation email, and the PDF we received after the order, too.
Thanks, Tim - already saw the email! Would you like us to send back the previous shipment, too? I'd wait to see what's in the new box first, but happy to send back if it would still be of use.
