My system has the AO-X, SC4 OAG, AFW 50mm 12 position filter wheel and STXL16200. The Starchaser manual instructs connecting the db9 end of the 11066 cable to the OAG and the other end of the cable to the OUT Port of the AOX. My 11066 adapter cable end has pins, as does the AO-X OUT Port. Is the manual in error? It is confusing because the 11066 cable accessory page on the DL site says the cable is compatible with the AO-X via the I2C IN port. When attaching this cable to the IN Port of the AO-X, I get an image window, but it is extremely noisy and quite unlike the guiding window I was used to when I had the AO-X attached to the FW8G self-guided filter wheel. In fact, I could not reliably calibrate nor guide with the cable attached to the I2C IN Port. Have I done something wrong? Which Port should the OAG/SC-4 cable attach to on the AO-X? If to the AO-X Out port, is there a version of the 11066 cable with a female end to attach to the AO-X OUT port, or is the pin plate removable to make it compatible with the I2C OUT port of the AO-X. -Al
Both ports in the AO-X are connected together internally. Use the one with the correct gender. The FW8G self-guided filter wheel has a CCD; the SC-4 has a CMOS active pixel sensor. Turn on dark subtraction.
Thanks. Blaming new reading glasses on missing this before! Settings were set to Sum and Clip and I enabled the Status LED, if that matters. Some of my files have different version numbers. dlapi.dll yours 4.1.2.0 mine 4.0.2.0 DLAPIWrapper.dll yours Not Installed mine 4.0.2.0
I'm testing a pre-release of MaxIm 7.2, so that's why my version numbers are different. Status LED is the little red light on the side of the unit.
