Hi everyone, I've had an STF8300M for quite a few years now, and it's always worked fine... until now. The problem is that downloading the image takes about two minutes, always the same amount of time no matter what I do. The drivers are up to date, and the firmware is up to date. I've tried a number of configurations and different cables, but it always does the same thing. The most intriguing thing is that I normally use it on a mini PC and never had any major issues. I tried it on a notebook with Maxlm 6.3, and it works normally; the USB port configurations seem to be the same. On the mini PC, it does the same thing with Maxlm 6.3, the trial version of Maxlm 7, and Nina.
    I'd appreciate any help.

There's one thing I can suggest: Open SBIGDriverChecker64, click Config Drv, and turn OFF Auto Bias Level Correction.

On occasion in the past, we've seen this feature cause slow downloads on certain individual computers. I don't know why, and it only impacts a small number of computers, but it does happen.

Thanks for your reply, Doug. I tried the test you suggested, but it didn't work.
Is there a different driver I could try? It worked perfectly on this computer, but I don't know what could have happened. It must be a USB configuration.
Please let me know if you remember a solution.

    Thanks.

I'm sorry I don't have a solution for you. The drivers work properly on most computers. You could try a different computer. Or maybe reinstalling Windows.

    One more thing:
SBIG Driver Checker - [Debug Log]. [Clear All] to make sure all debug settings are off (unchecked).

Also, check that you have the correct SBIGUdrv.dll on your machine.
If you have all those different software versions (MaxIm 6 & 7.1.4, and N.I.N.A.) you might have mixed versions, possibly caused by an installation bug.

    C:\Windows\System32\SBIGUdrv.dll - version 5.1.1.0 - this is the 64-bit version, and is needed by MaxIm 7.1.4 and N.I.N.A. (and TheSky X 64-bit).
    Download and unzip 64bit version:
    https://cdn.diffractionlimited.com/down/sbigudrv-win-x64-5.1.1.0.zip
If there are any copies of the 64-bit version in the MaxIm 7.1.4. or NINA folders, delete them. You just need it to be placed in C:\Windows\System32\SBIGUdrv.dll

The 32-bit version sbigudrv.dll 5.1.1.0 or 4.9.9 Build 7 is needed by MaxIm 6.x. The SBIG Driver Checker will install it.
It will be in one of these places:
    C:\Windows\System\sbigudrv.dll
    or
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\SBIGUdrv.dll
