Having one of the best ever weather nights at the Cherry Springs Star Party, and my AC455 data transfer crapped out right in the middle. Only part of the frames were being transferred (see enclosed examples). If you look closely you will see there is data in the less dark parts of the frames, but it is just several fold weaker in AUs. Has anyone else experienced this issue, or do I just have a "lemon". I am using the AC455 linked to a PrimaLuceLab EagleXT6, through the thunderbolt port. I am using the exact components for the fiberoptic connection recommended in the SBIG AC455 instruction manual. I have also not been able to come close to the specs for readout noise published for the IMX455 chip from other vendors (and SBIG). As I increase the gain, the readout noise only changes slightly, and I never see the step function where at a certain gain (around 3) there is a dramatic decrease in readout noise. This was really the reason I wanted to get an IMX455 chip (and have had excellent experience with SBIG cameras in the past). Thanks for any responses.
