    Hi,

I bought the "STX-Ultimate" package in March of 2019. I chose the SBIG "50mm square LRGB filter set" and the "50mm Square Narrowband set of 3 filters Ha, SII , OIII" for the filters.

Pixinsight has some very useful tools for processing data, which want to know what brand those filters are; they don't have "SBIG" as an option.

I would appreciate knowing what those filters are, so I can use these tools optimally.

    Thanks.

    Mark

We've used a variety of filter suppliers over the years, including Custom Scientific, Baader, and Optolong. I'm not sure which you have.

So there's no way for me to find out?

Unfortunately prior to implementation of our ISO9001:2015 QA system in 2020, we didn't document parts batch numbers so I can't be 100% certain.

That said, I looked at the filter purchase order history in our ERP system... judging by your purchase date, I'm fairly certain you got Baader filters.

Here's another way to check - of you kept the original filter boxes:
    - Baader filters often came in a plastic box that slid apart (like a drawer) or flipped down and had an multi-colored insert paper.
    - Customer Scientific had a clear plastic box and often a yellowish paper insert.
    - Sometimes there is a marking or label on the blackened edge. If not edge blackened, then it may an early Optolong.
    - If in a white paper box with a two part, then it may be an Optolong or another OEM.

    Thanks!

I doubt the boxes still exist. I image remotely, and someone else set up my stuff in 2019. I moved it in 2020, but I did not get any boxes when I moved it.

But I thank Doug for his response!
