I have 2 SBIG cameras. The STX 16803 is currently on a 1 meter telescope and has worked well until recently. It is at a remote hosting site. They reported a bad lightening strike that damaged their internet. After this I checked my camera and I could not connect to it. The site reviewed my camera and said the USB port was no longer working but it did apparently work on the ethernet connection. So I believe this camera needs to be evaluated and fixed if possible. How do I go about getting it evaluated and possibly repaired??

I also have a STXL 11000 ( the newer version with red casing) that has developed a bad guide camera problem. The actual STX ccd works fine as does the filter wheel but the guider has developed unusual bright line at top of ccd chip the causes the guider to chase the line none stop and so the telescope is driven off target due to the guider chasing a faulty bright line at top of ccd frame. Again it is a good camera with very little actual imaging time on it. Can I get it evaluated and repaired???

    Thanks Jim

I will be able to set up the RMA for the 16803 but will have to wait for the ST 11000 as it is down in Arizona and I will not be down there until 10 days from now. Also the 16803 is out at New Mexico Skies remote hosting site so they will pack it up for repair.

That's fine. We'll process them independently.
