    Hello,

I was wondering if there are other image capture software that are compatible with STC 428 P?

We use TSX but plate solving is not offered.

    NINA
    SGPro
    Voyager

Are any of these software compatible with this camera? I've tried SGPro but I have had no luck in connecting.

Is there a problem with MaxIm?

Any ASCOM-compatible 64-bit imaging software will work.
TheSkyX has plate solving, but it's pretty basic.

I’m not familiar with MaxIM however we have a faculty member who has some familiarity with it. Is there anyway we can get the activations for it? I’ve wiped most of the computers of windows when reinstalling software from our last discussion and may need to request the licenses again how can we get this done by today? I’d like to try it tonight.

I'll send you a PM with license details.

MaxIM offers platesolving using PS2 or ASTAP to find targets?

MaxIm DL Pro uses PinPoint Astrometry which is built in; it can use Astronometry.NET if completely lost or ADGSoftware ANSVR for searching the whole sky; the PinPoint engine can use common catalogs like GSC1.1, UCAC4, ATLAS-REFCAT2 and others.
MaxIm LT does not have Platesolving - it has to be upgraded to DL Pro.
PinPoint was the pioneer, and is highly accurate, and preceded Platesolve2 and ASTAP.
